Greater Triangle Regional Council Names New Leaders

 

The Greater Triangle Regional Council has named Mack Paul as board chair and Roger Perry as chair-elect.

Paul, a partner at Helms Mulliss & Wicker, specializes in government relations, zoning and land use planning, and corporate relocations. He represents businesses, developers and nonprofit organizations on issues at all levels of government.

Before joining the firm, he served as Lt. Gov. Dennis Wicker's chief of staff and legal counsel, assisting with policy development and legislative initiatives. Paul graduated with high honors from Dartmouth College and received a master's degree from the University of Southern California. He earned his law degree with honors at Columbia University.

Paul is a founding member of Triangle Growth Strategies Inc. and Triangle Smart Growth Coalition. He serves on the board of the Friends of North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Perry is president of Chapel Hill-based East West Partners Management Co., a real estate and development company. He manages day-to-day operations of the firm, which has developed more residential real estate than any other company in North Carolina. Developments include Meadowmont in Chapel Hill, Falls River in Raleigh and the new Cary Park.

Perry is a member of the University of North Carolina Board of Trustees as well as a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and its business school's Executive Program. He is also a board member of the Triangle United Way, Chapel Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Triangle Board of Centura Bank.
