Growth
Our region is growing and will continue to grow well into the future. By 2030, the Research Triangle region is expected to grow to more than 3.2 million people from the current 2.03 million.
Shared Vision
The best way to assure quality growth is to develop a shared vision for development and land use in the region.Together we can discuss issues like where residents will live and work, what the transportation needs are to meet the growth and what areas should remain protected as open space.
Regional Cooperation
Regional cooperation is the name of the global economy game. Companies seeking to build or relocate look at regions, not just individual cities or counties.
Regional Planning
Regions gain strength by working and planning together, especially on issues that don’t stop at county boundaries, such as air quality, transportation issues and environmental sustainability.
The Research Triangle region has been successful for decades, but now it’s time to take our regional planning efforts to the next level to ensure our continued success. Reality Check will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders from 15 counties for a regional visioning process that will lead to long-range planning and consensus building on growth-related issues.
